Joe Gibbs Racing’s Sprint Cup Series division heads to New England for the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 22nd. Chase for the Sprint Cup points leader Matt Kenseth makes an historic start at NHMS – his 500th career Cup Series start – and looks to earn his first win at the 1.058-mile track.
Kenseth, in the No. 20 Home Depot/Husky Tools Toyota Camry this weekend featuring a special 500th start paint scheme, has 13 top 10 finishes in 27 previous starts at NHMS, including a ninth-place finish in July for JGR. He’s coming off his sixth win of the season in last weekend’s Chase-opening race at Chicagoland Speedway, and credits a strong JGR team for getting him this far.
