Friends,
I have installed and configured a brand new setup for one of our customers and they have
1xMaster Linux (7.5.0.4) with built in storage (basic disk and MSDP)
4xMedia Servers MSDP (7.5.0.4) at each remote locations
Remote servers data backed up to local media servers and then duplicate (optimize dedup) to central disk MSDP pool. all good.
so when i set off a restore it uses the primary copy which obviously sits on the local media server hence the restore is faster
but when the restore set off from client it always goes to master and in the job logs restoring from master which obviously slow because of the link.
so my question is how can i force a restore initiated from a client to always use local media server to restore the data? please note the primary copy will always be on the local media server.
