SEP Logging of MD5 Hashes

I have had a request from the SOC to see if SEP can be used to track MD5 hashes. They constantly get events from the threat monitoring software that reference MD5 hashes. They want to know if SEP has a way of identifying and cataloging these hashes so that a search can be done through SEP for them.
