I was streaming music and happy as a clam when all of sudden about 1:00 to 1:45 into a song, it would stop streaming. I was using the Beats Music service. I determined that Symantec Endpoint Protection was the culprit by temporarily disabling Network Threat Protection and then playing the song back uninterrupted via the browser. I then re-enabled Network Threat Protection and sure enough, the same problem occured and the song stopped playing about 1:45 into the song. I'm not sure why the default Network Threat Protection would see this as a threat, but obviously an exception needs to be created in order to allow this traffic.
Does anyone have any idea on how to add an exception to ALLOW BEATS MUSIC TO STREAM to my computer without shutting down the whole network threat protection portion of SEP?
BTW, trying to create a case to have a Symantec Tech respond was impossible. It kept balking at the version number saying that it was invalid. Thanks!
