BUE 2012 and SQL issue

V-79-57344-867 - The last Full backup of database KPLDAT was not made by this application. Run a new Full backup, then run this job again.

I understand that SQL is doing backups. How can I stop SQL from doing backups? Using SQL 2008 R2.

I can locate the backups but there does not appear to be an option to delete or stop them.
