I have been using SBE 2012 on our 3600 appliance for several months now, and when I finally got the server to a point where it was performing all the backups without issue it went wrong.
First of all on the day our full backups run(Saturday) the services on the backup exec crashed partially. The jobs were stuck running for 40+ hours until I got back to work, to kill the processes I had to reboot the entire appliance. When it came back up several of the BE services would crash or hang within minutes of being started. Finally, the storage device filled up. And the Dedupe ratio went from being 5.1 to 1.2. Now, the services are all functioning fine but the backups just say they are waiting for idle devices. Any jobs that did run would stay as "Queued" until they would time out after several hours and get cancelled.
I have performed a repair of the install however that fixed nothing. Has anyone experienced this before?
