I'm the IT manager for a small non profit in New York city. We just purchased 10 new Microsoft Surface pro tablets running windows 8. We're running Symantec Endpoint protection small business edition 12.0.1001.95 on our symantec server. When I tried to install symantec on the Surface pro, I recieved this error message:
"System thread exception not handled teefer2.sys"
After researching the Symantec site, I see I have to upgrade to Symantec 12.1.2, so I downloaded these files:
When I tried to install part 1 installation file the surface said:
This app cannot run on your PC
My question is, do I need to upgrade Symantec Endpoint protection 12.1.3 on my server, and the 32 bit or 64 bit files on my win 8 clients? Can someone give me the intructions for this upgrade so I can install Symantec on my new Win 8 clients.
