we are testing DLO 7.5 in our environment and we have a single server with all the roles on it (administration, dedupe, maintenance etc.) and also the shared folder for pc backups is on the same machine.
the installation is not English language so I translate the option names and errors description, maybe there is not a perfect match with the original english popups.
we made some test restores and noticed that the server is unable to restore anything if we choose the option to restore files to an alternative computer: no matter what options we use (ignore advanced limitation, maintain folder structure...).
when we ask to restore for example a single file from a pc backup to a different share on the network, the DLO console works for a while and ends with the same error
"it's impossible to read the folder \\<our dlo server name>\dlo-archive\<our domain-user name>\.dlo containing the files to be restored. you don't have the necessary permissions to read the folder contents"
which is not true, since the folder resides on the same server from where we launch the console and the restore, and the logged user we use to perform the restore is domain admin and has full control access on the backup folder tree.
if we try to restore the file on the original computer, which sould be a much harder task, it works perfectly...
any other tried this out?
