Hello, I have once again problem with client-side deduplication, on a different servers this time. Can you please try to help me?
I have Backup Exec 2014 RTM running on Windows Server 2012R2 with all updates installed.
I am backing up hyper-v cluster, running on four nodes of Windows Server 2012R2 servers.
I can ping from the hyper-v cluster nodes to media server and vice versa, i can also telnet 10000 between cluster nodes and media server. There is no firewall between the servers and windows firewall is turned off. There is no antivirus on any of the servers.
When i look at direct access sharing in server properties, i can see that "the device has been shared with this server" with green check mark. Tried multiple restarts of all hyper-v cluster nodes and of the media server.
Agents are installed on all nodes, server-side deduplication works fine. Client side deduplication job gives me the dreaded error
Client-side deduplication is enabled for this job, but it could not be used. Please check this link for additional information:
